An End-of-Year Reflection from Silent Things
As the year winds down and the quiet (or chaos) of the holidays begins to settle in, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you.
Thank you for showing up, reading, sharing and making this space feel like home. Thank you for your comments, your messages, and your support behind the scenes.
It has all meant more than I could ever properly put into words (and that’s saying a lot for someone who’s always writing).
Silent Things started as a space for contemplative thoughts and stories that often are neglected in the noise of everyday life. And yet, every post email, and every “that really spoke to me” moment this year has reminded me that even the quietest things still have impact.
So as we step into the end-of-year hush… I hope you find pockets of peace, and I hope that joy sneaks up on you when you least expect it. And I hope you know, like truly know, how far you’ve come, even if it doesn’t feel like it.
We don’t always need to finish strong. Sometimes, it’s okay to just… finish. Now's the time to breathe, and take the pressure off.
From my heart to yours, Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays. And an early Happy New Year.
Here’s to more words, more stories, more growth, and more of the silent things that remind us who we are.
