Day nine: writing, not writing

Day Nine: Writing, Not Writing.

Day nine: writing, not writing

I reached a new personal best today, with this post.

You see, the last time I took the 20 Days of Writing course with the Blogging University, I stopped at day eight. You see that up there? This is day nine! I'm giving myself a mental pat on my back right now. I had my day nine from last year sitting in my draft, so I took it and I'm rewriting it.

Being active everyday makes it easier to hear that inner voice.

- Haruki Murakami

The task today is not to write per se, but to write in response to one of several questions provided. I will be answering the question below;

If I could step into a machine that gave me more time, how would I structure my day?

I honestly don't know.

I guess I could opt for more time to sleep and lazy around. It shouldn't always be about working or achieving something, or doing something. While being active is a good thing, sometimes the body, soul and spirit need to just relax, then things become clearer and birds singing more cheerfully. I would play the most tranquil playlist on my phone, on a loop of course, shut my eyes and let the lyrics and tunes sink in.

Being active is good, but meditation and relaxation of mind, brain, body and spirit is better. We'll just leave tomorrow and everything else to worry about themselves for now, but for now, we rest.
