Still, I Wonder

I’ve always wondered what lies beyond our world’s bounds,
What floats in the infinite expanse of space?
In the galaxy's embrace, are we alone or just another race,
Equally clueless in this cosmic chase?

Does God exist, or do we seek belief in vain,
A higher force, a divine refrain?
Where do the dead really go, beyond the grave’s door,
Is there life after this, something more?

I’ve always wondered, is there a higher purpose,
Or are we mere pawns in a cosmic circus?
Are we actors on a stage, in a grand design,
Living and dying, seeking signs?

Is there a plan or just chaos concealed,
In this world, inherently revealed?
A loving God, why create a realm so flawed,
Where mankind worships idols, blind and awed?

I’ve pondered these questions, deep and vast,
Seeking answers in shadows cast.
I cannot fathom, nor can I see,
The reason behind our destiny.

I’ve sat here, time wasted in wonder,
Instead of living, lost in thunder.
The bitter truth, as sharp as it is true,
Whether there’s a god or not, it’s life I must pursue.

For in the now, alive and breathing,
I’ll embrace life, in all its seething.
To live, to love, to seek and find,
In the present moment, peace of mind.
