Time Well Wasted

P.S. This was initially titled; Take Your Time, but things rarely go according to plan.

I have a post from early 2019 titled your time will come, and at the time I believed that. The long time readers of Silent Things, especially if you've been here when it was formerly Inspired Lives, would definitely have noticed the colossal shift in my ideology. I am, my writing too, is a true testament to the fact that change is a constant in life.

I've had to learn patience a lot the past few years. I've had to take and accept a lot that I wouldn't necessarily tolerate because I didn't have a choice. The merciless predication of how low one can fall when we leave things to time or chance or faith has reinforced that soul numbing choicelessness in taking crap, and it has been horrendous.

But that isn’t what we are here to discuss. As I said before, I used to be a believer in ‘give it time’ ‘your time will come’ and all of that hogwash, and in doing that, I have wasted a lot of time that I can never get back.

The one thing we don’t have is time. Nobody knows their number on the proverbial line, so tomorrow’s not assured. It’s why certain people believe in living as though you’ll die tomorrow, because let’s face it; we’re all tourists here, and we could very well be next in line, or as inauspicious as life can be, some calamitous things just happen.

And it is because of that I believe we don’t have the luxury to wait for our inferred time to break forth. We need to aggressively pursue the things we want today, like tomorrow will never come. Cos if we leave things to chance, in the hopes that ‘time will fix things’ and ‘take our time’ who knows?

We’ve got to remember that we don’t have all the time in the world, and do what we need to do to get what we want now. Time does nothing but hurry by, it does nothing; YOU DO! Time isn't a solution, nor does it care to alleviate your problems.

So don't give it time, don't hope time heals all wounds, and don't believe your time will come. It's up to you to make the most of YOUR time.

SO, grab the bull by the horns and get serious, we're pressed for time.
